EAP

EAP: EAP means an Employee Assistance Program. Such programs are set up by employers for the benefit of their employees.

Most EAP plans provide an annual budget for each service they cover.

Typically, EAP plans only pay for psychotherapy from specified providers.

You should check the wording in your own benefits plan to see if your EAP pays for psychotherapy when it is provided by psychotherapists, rather than 'registered psychologists'.
