Facticity
This is a concept advanced by Martin Heidegger to speak about natural human limits affecting our capacity to make absolute choices about our existence.

The limiting facts of existence, as understood by existentialist therapy, include incontrovertible givens like sex, gender, race, culture, epoch, death, as well as the other variables which we bring into the world at birth and over which we have no control.
