Therapy Toronto Psychotherapy Definitions
- Jungian Oriented
- This refers to therapists who make active use of the approach developed by the Swiss psychiatrist, psychoanalyst and cultural anthropologist Carl Gustav Jung.
Such therapists may also use modalities outside the Jungian tradition.
To be Jungian-oriented indicates that the therapist is conscious of material that goes beyond the confines of the personal unconscious.
Symbols, dreams and synchronicities that reveal the working of the psychic life are especially important in a Jungian-oriented therapy.
