Reflective Practice
Reflective Practice is a specific tool or process of most health care professionals in which time is taken to assess their own practices and experiences, in order to inform new choices and specific ongoing learning needs.

'The intention of reflection on experiences is always to enable [healthcare professionals] to tell their stories of practice and to identify, confront and resolve the contradictions between what [they] aim to achieve and what is actually practiced' (Johns, 1993a).
