Therapy Toronto Psychotherapy Definitions
- Interpretation
- Interpretation is what the therapist does by offering a alternative and developmentally creative version of material offered by the client. Good interpretation spurs positive growth.
Interpretations in therapy represent how the therapist understands the inner meaning of a client’s life that he/she has been attempting to see more clearly.
Good interpretations can powerfully reframe the significance of issues, events and meanings, and provide space for future personal development and freedom.
