Subconscious
This term is often used to refer to the Unconscious but is not identical to it.

The word 'subconscious' refers to all processes that exist below the surface of ordinary waking consciousness, without necessarily being unretrievable into the consciousness when desired.

This separates the notion of the subconscious from the Freudian and other version of the Unconscious.
