Addictions
Addictions are patterns of behaviour, including alcohol, drug, eating disorders, sexual compulsions, and gambling addictions which are particularly difficult to resolve because of the depth and strength of their roots in the unconscious mind.

These behavioural problems are characterized by a loss of control or a lack of control in specific situations.

Usually, this lack of control is part of a pattern of behaviour that also involves other maladaptive thoughts and actions, such as substance abuse problems. (AD)
