Ego

Ego
This term was termed by Freud from the Latin word for 'I' to refer to the ordinary self.

It has been said that the ego is the person on your driver’s license, the person who gets up and goes to work and has a life.

The ego is the conscious mind’s domain, containing conscious feelings, thoughts and desires.

Sometimes people are seen as having 'too big an ego' when in fact they suffer from low self-esteem and make up for this by inflating their apparent strength.
